This project comprised the engagement and management of a specialist consultant to undertake corridor option analysis as well as manage the community consultation process in developing a preferred route and design option for the 4.6 kilometre length of Pacific Highway between Narara and Lisarow on the Central Coast of NSW. The route analysis dealt with complex hydrological constraints as well as alternate design options on both the north and south sides of the Sydney to Newcastle rail corridor. Potential impacts on public utilities, adjoining business operations and residential properties were key considerations.
The Route Options Summary Report published in March 2012 presented 15 alternate design options. Joel Rosendahl performed the role of project development manager for RMS on this project and Joel was successful in steering the project to the approval and announcement by the NSW Minister for Roads of a best performing route option in February 2013.
